Defender 110 on Lake Como
The square shape and the spare wheel on the side-opening tailgate clearly recall the original Defender, but inside, the 110 is a modern and genuinely comfortable car. A third row of seats means the whole family or a group of friends can travel together. The figures: 249 CV, 0–100 km/h in 8.3 s, 188 km/h top speed. It has 7 seats, all-wheel drive and a 8-speed automatic gearbox.
## The lake by car Lake Como is best discovered from behind the wheel: the road along the shore passes the historic villas and leads to Cernobbio, [Bellagio](place:bellagio), [Menaggio](place:menaggio) and [Varenna](place:varenna). The roads are narrow and full of bends, best taken slowly: a convertible such as the [Ferrari Portofino](car:ferrari-portofino) or the [Bentley Continental GTC](car:bentley-continental-gtc) is perfect on sunny days, while an SUV such as the [Range Rover Sport](car:range-rover-sport) is more comfortable if you travel with family or a lot of luggage.
