A luxury car in Lecco
Lecco sits where the eastern branch of Lake Como ends, the one described in Manzoni’s The Betrothed, below the Resegone and Monte San Martino. It is about 36 km by road from our base in Vaprio d’Adda. From the lakefront the road follows the shore up to Varenna; from there the car ferry crosses to Bellagio and Menaggio, while inland the road climbs into Valsassina.
These roads have plenty of bends and a few narrow stretches: a compact convertible such as the Porsche 718 Boxster is perfect for the lake, an SUV such as the Mercedes-AMG G 63 for the mountains.
